In the event of an emergency, I like to try to stock up on various canned food and so I’ve added something new to my pantry – whole canned chicken.
I don’t expect it to look visually appealing, but I bet it tastes damn good in pot of soup or with some rice. If nothing else, if I was really hungry, I bet I could eat it right out of the can too.
To see how I just cooked up some frog leggs, come visit me at Prepare to survive in California.

I was buying canned chicken, beef, pork and even bacon, and then duh!! I realized I can can these meats myself. And so I do. You just need a pressure canner, jars and your meat and you’re all set. There are great websites to walk you through the steps. It’s very simple. and a whole lot cheaper.
You can add your own spices or not.
Good Luck

There is a youtube video somewhere of someone who ate this. It absolutely was not appealing, but they claimed the meat was good. There was a lot of gelatin from the fats. I plan on adding this to my stockpile too.
